the Kanpur Test today (Monday, September 30), India declared their innings at
285 for 9 in response to Bangladesh’s 233, fearing a possible all-out. After
Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 23 off 11 balls, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a
stormy knock of 72 off 51 balls, taking the team past 100. He completed his
fifty in just 31 balls, marking the fourth-fastest fifty in India’s history.
Following
Jaiswal, Lokesh Rahul (68 off 43 balls), Virat Kohli (47 off 35 balls), and
Shubman Gill (39 off 36 balls) contributed significantly to help the hosts
reach 285 before declaring the innings. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan and
Mehidy Hasan Miraz both took four wickets each, while pacer Hasan Mahmud
claimed the remaining wicket.
