Out
of the newly appointed 59 Deputy Commissioners (DCs), the appointments of 8
have been canceled. This information was provided by Senior Secretary of the
Ministry of Public Administration, Mokhlesur Rahman, during a press conference
at the Secretariat today, Wednesday (September 11).
The
districts whose DC appointments have been canceled are Lakshmipur, Joypurhat,
Kushtia, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, Shariatpur, Dinajpur, and Rajbari.
The
Public Administration Secretary stated that the cancellations were based on
constructive reports, various complaints from journalists, and longstanding
information. The appointments were revoked due to justified allegations against
the appointed Deputy Commissioners.
