The Meteorological Department has reported that a storm
with wind speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may affect ten regions of the country. This information was provided in the weather
forecast for inland river ports up to 9 am, Friday, August 9.
The forecast indicates that
temporary gusty winds with speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, along with
rain or thunderstorms, may occur from the south-southeast over the regions of
Pabna, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla,
Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar.
The river ports in these areas have been advised to display Distant
Cautionary Signal No. 1.
