Guidelines will be formulated after inspecting archeological sites—Asif Nazrul

Interim government Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul stated that policies will be formulated after observing the various aesthetic architectural styles and archeological sites of ancient Bikrampur.

He mentioned that the time has come to focus on the preservation of ancient archeological treasures. Efforts are underway to include Idrakpur Fort, Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka, and two other ancient forts in Narayanganj as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

He made these remarks after visiting the Idrakpur Fort, a Mughal-era archeological site in Munshiganj at 10:30 am today (September 27).

Later, he visited the cleanliness program of the social voluntary organization, BD Clean, and urged the youth to play a significant role in building a healthy and harmonious society.

Following this, Dr. Asif Nazrul, Adviser to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Ministry of Cultural Affairs, visited Raja Harish Chandra’s Dighi in Munshiganj Sadar, Mirkadim Bridge, Baba Adam’s Mosque, Sonarang Twin Temples in Tongibari, and the house of world-renowned scientist Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose in Srinagar.

In response to a question from journalists during the visit, the Adviser stated that it is time to pay attention to archeological assets. A policy will be developed after inspecting the archeological sites across the country to determine the necessary preservation measures.
