The
government will keep the draft list of the martyrs who sacrificed lives in the
July-August uprising open for all till October 6 to verify, correct, or add
names, addresses, and other relevant details in bringing perfection to it.
The
government this Wednesday (September 25) published the draft list of 708
martyred in the student led mass uprising.
The
draft list of the martyrs is now available on the websites of Health Service
Department, www.hsd.gov.bd and Directorate General of Health Services,
www.dghs.gov.bd, said a government handout.
The
list, compiled from various public and private hospitals and district sources,
identifies martyrs from the anti-discrimination student movement, it read.
The
government has urged the family members, representatives and successors to scrutinize
the published names, addresses and other related information to verify,
correct, or add names, addresses, and other relevant details to make a complete
list.
If
name of any martyrs is dropped out of the list, the family members, successors
and representatives of the martyrs can contact with respective deputy
commissioners (DCs), civil surgeons, upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs) and
upazila health and family welfare officers with proper documents.
If
anyone has any opinion, advice or any information regarding names, addresses
published in the draft list alongside having any data or information to add in
the list, has been requested to inform the respective hospitals from where
services received and nearby government hospitals.
The
following measures have to be maintained if any one intended to make any
correction to the information published in the draft list of the martyrs.
At
first, the family members, successors and representatives of the martyrs have
to make a registration with NID or birth registration and mobile number.
Later,
they have to download and print the information of the martyr and then fill up
the blank portion in the printed document with necessary information.
If
you go to the concerned hospital or the nearest government hospital with the filled
up information, the concerned institution will assist in correcting the
information.
The
person in charge of the institution will update the information online by
submitting the form filled up by the family members, successors and
representatives of the martyrs.
The
submitted information can be re-verified by accessing to the website whether it
has been properly included or amended.
